hey ppl-
Confession: I never had much of a self image issue, the only thing I dislike about my body is that my thighs are a little large. However, since starting yoga and working out... I've toned my thighs and lost a little fat all around... and it's totally raised my self confidence. I'm getting all into meditation and recommending yoga to everyone.
Also, I've recently found a more defined path to follow in my college/career life. It's a relief to work towards something, freedom is fun but if you take random classes forever and don't get a degree... then what??

hey ppl-
So... I started getting in shape this term. And it's really not my thing usually.
Pros: I get a credit for using the gym, and another for yoga. I get to eat more ;) And um, my work out clothes are pretty cute. Just sayin.
Cons: I'm a wuss. I hurt like no other and it'll be worse tomorrow. I don't know how to use any of the machines even though the guy explained it to my orientation group... so every time I use a new one I feel like a complete idiot.
Other than that, I have officially turned in my first psychology assignment, and my first photography project. These are the two majors I'm debating the strongest right now, so we'll see how this term affects that decision.

1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Cooked and ate a Tofurky. Had a photo of myself on display at a gallery.
2. Did you keep any New Year's resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I don't generally make resolutions, I think last year I said I would be more active in photography. I'm not sure if I really have been. This year I am making more of a reminder to myself, to be more community outreach oriented.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Some of Zech's friends, Aaron & Erinn. And a couple from Hilary's church.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Luckily, no.
5. What countries did you visit?
None, as with every year so far.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
A sense of accomplishment.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched in your memory and why?
November 15th, because my entire life centered around that day for months. The day the yurt was supposed to be picked up.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting back into school and getting an apartment.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Quitting my job and being unable to find a new one, not being able to pay my share of the bills.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing unusual.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Paying off my school debt.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Zech, for being a good sport through tough times.

No one.

School debt, surviving.

Christmas was spent in the new apartment with Zech, sipping hot cocoa and watching children's movies. New Years will probably be about the same, but with different movies.

Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, I Shouldn't Be Alive, and a million more I can't think of.

I read sooo many books. Let me check goodreads. Probably "The Fall" by Del Toro. As far as movies it was "Boys Don't Cry", hands down.

Something cool to happen in life, and I got school, an apartment and the ability to quit my job.

A Christmas season job, certain friendships, and lots of little stuff.

Oof. I don't remember.

Had a potluck party with a donut cake at a friend's house. I turned 24.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I would say money, but maybe the lack of money was really what made it so satisfying.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept of 2011?
Slightly more feminine version of jeans and t-shirts. Fitted scoop neck tees layered over tank tops, skinny jeans, boots, hoodies, quirky jewelry, blonde hair, make up.
33. What kept you sane?
The internet, books, dreams, friends.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't really get into celebrities and such.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Occupy Wall St got me interested and excited. The presidential race got me terrified and confused.

I met a couple of Jessica's friends, Erica can take the cool prize.

I think I did pretty well.

Hilary, Michelley, Jessica.

Just got done watching Boys Don't Cry. Everyone should watch that movie... I haven't been that affected by a film in quite some time. Breaks my heart.
In other news, we are quickly approaching potential move out date... wouldn't that be fantastic!? Putting the last little things in boxes today. Holding out until the 5th before we can contact the owner about viewing and applying officially. Also waiting to hear back from Zech's potential job. Lots of ifs!

hey ppl-
Went to my friend Roses's and ate amazingly awesome food stuffs. She made a vegan pizza and vegan cupcakes just for me! I felt so special :) Plus, everyone tried the vegan pizza, which is pretty much unheard of.
My pirate costume turned out pretty sweet! I kind of love wearing a pirate bandana for some reason and think I should wear one all the time. The sad part is that I put on one of those glow in the dark bracelets (basically a glow stick wrapped around your wrist) and it randomly broke! I wasn't even moving, I was just watching a movie. So now I got to try to get the dye out of my pirate shirt by Monday.
Met Rose's boyfriend for the first time, he seems pretty nice and such. I pretty much love food oriented parties. She had BONE SHAPED BREAD STICKS. Halloweentastic.

Packing seems very overwhelming. I think it's because this is the first time I've had to pack like an "adult". As in, I can't leave half my shit behind in my parents house. I need to make decisions. I need to throw it out, recycle it, or take it. I am a hoarder to an extent, I am very emotionally attached to the smallest of things. I'm getting better, I'm working on it. But by the end of this month there needs to be NOTHING not in a box and ready to go. I mean, I realize how silly it sounds. I'm 24, why do I need all this junk? I don't. But yet, I've never had to own up to that. I've never had to think "Is this worth hauling around? Is this worth taking up space in a storage unit?".

1) Tell us about your first kiss
It was in the hallway at my high school, with a boy I had met only a few hours earlier. He asked permission to kiss me but then went straight into making out. Awkward.
2) What is the most expensive casual item of clothing you've ever bought?
Uh... I don't think I own any expensive clothes, except like.. my prom dress.
3) What was the first job you ever wanted as a kid?
I wanted to be a fire truck driver. Not a fire fighter, I just wanted to drive the truck around and wait for the fire fighters to get done.
4) Tell us about your group of school friends
They were quirky, mostly alternative kids with a couple kids who were alternative at heart even if they didn't want to admit it. We either sat in the practice room and listened to one friend play piano, or we walked in the rain to get Slurpees at 7-11.
5) What would you name your kids?
I have no idea. I'm still a little iffy on the whole kids thing and whether I want them. I like the name Renee.
6) Who do you want to answer the survey next?
Meh. Whoever.

Spent several crazy days helping Hilary pack, move, and set up for her new teaching job out in Halsey. It's been a lot of fun for the most part! I'm super ready for a few days laziness though, I can only imagine how she feels with so much work yet to do.
Made some awesome signs for her classroom while she was doing the difficult work. Wish my memory card wasn't messed up so I coulda gotten pictures, but I suppose I have plenty of time.
We went to Red Robin last night with Kristin. I have decided Red Robin is my new favorite place - never thought I'd say THAT. Buuut. Never ending fries?? I think yes.
Also spent some time rearranging Jessica's room with her last night and going out for Fro Yo.
Still waiting on school to go through. Tick tock.
Also waiting for that dang appeal form.
Yep. I'm pretty sure that covers my week so far. Tuesday is grocery day, THANK GOODNESS. Broken fridge seems to be fixed - delicious food stuffs here I come.
